Jenga World Tour

July 22, 2008

I know this is a ridiculous concept, but this is an actual video game.  There really is a Jenga made for the Nintendo wii and DS.  I didn’t know what to make a post on today, so I did this.

The game is probably a fairly simple game.  It’s based off the real game Jenga.  For those who don’t know what Jenga is; it’s a game with a tower of 54 stacked blocks.  Players take turns removing blocks and stacking them at the top.  The player who lets the tower fall over looses.

Personally, I’d rather get the real Jenga game.  It’s a lot more interactive and fun.  But that’s up to you.

Yoshi Touch & go

July 21, 2008

Sorry that I didn’t make any posts last week. It was a busy week, and I didn’t have time/feel like making any posts. I’ll try to continue regular Updates this week.

——

Yoshi Touch and Go uses the same storyline as the First Yoshi’s Island. Baby Luigi is stolen, and you play as Yoshi (with baby mario on your back) and go on a journey to rescue him.

You start by using the stylus to guide baby mario safely through the sky and to the ground. Then you carry him as far as you can on Yoshi’s back. Yoshi automatically walks, and you control him by drawing cloud paths that he can walk on.  I think It’s a fun rental game, but if you like it enough that you want to buy it, go ahead.

I know, I know, another broken site.  Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 March of the Minis

July 14, 2008

Because my friend red poppie was playing this game, I guess that I’ll make a post on it.

——

In Mario vs DK 2, Pauline is stolen by Donkey Kong, and it’s up to you and the Mini Mario (toys) to rescue her.  Using the stylus, you guide the wind-up Mario toys to the end of each level.  The levels are like puzzles, and you need to find out how to get to each exit.  At the end of each floor (world) you face Donkey Kong, and you defeat him by throwing 6 mini Marios at him.

There is also a level editor (red poppies favorite) which lets you create and play you own levels.  The story line is fun, but the level editor is where all the replay value kicks in.

My Sims

July 9, 2008

My Sims is a Sims game for the DS and the Wii. The name ‘Sims’ comes from simulation, and that’s what Sims is- a simulation. There are differences between the Ds and Wii versions.

The Wii version takes place in a run down town with a low population.  Your job is to bring back the population of the town and to attract buisness.  You can build houses and furniture, and in return get special decorations and outfits for your sims.

The DS version begins when you move into a vacation resort.  You control one specific sim, and you try to lure in tourists.

In both games you unlock more are by getting more tourists/residents to your resort/town.

. . . Well, the website could probably do a better job explaining it than I did.

Nintendogs

July 7, 2008

Nintendogs is a popular game for the Nintendo DS.  In it you adopt a virtual dog that you walk, feed, and train.  You can collect and buy new rooms, new items, and new dogs!  There are three kinds of contests:  Frisbee, agility, and obedience.  If your dog wins, you earn money.  You can enter three contests a day.

There are four versions, each with different kinds of dogs you can get.  If you’re a dog lover, you’ll love this game.

Legend of Zelda; Phantom Hourglass

June 24, 2008

Legend Of Zelda; Phantom Hourglass is a continuation to the Wind Waker.  In this game, you play as Toon Link and go on a journey to rescue your friend, Princess Zelda.  You control Link using only the touch screen, which I thought was good.  The game is filled with puzzles and action, so It should be fun for almost everyone.

Animal Crossing Wild World

June 23, 2008

Animal Crossing Wild World begins when you move into a new town.  The town has a small population, and all the stores are small.  As you go along though, you improve the town.  Stores get bigger, more people move there, and more stuff happens.

Really, the only goal the game gives you is to pay off the loans on your house.  There is no story line, but there are tons of secrets.  There are lots of things to do, but not a lot of action, so don’t look here for if you’re trying to find an adventure game.

Super Princess Peach

June 21, 2008

Ok, I get your point.  Super Princess Peach does seem like a girly game.  And It probably is.  But It’s still fun, girly and easy, granted, but still fun.

This game is a break from the traditional ’save the princess’ Mario games.  When Mario and Luigi are captured, It’s up to Peach and her talking umbrella (?) named Perry to save them.  Use your emotions and umbrella as weapons (??) to help you get to the end of each level.
